Lydia Fearing's BioMs. Fearing's Professional Activities and Awards

While attending St. Mary’s University School of Law, Lydia Fearing was a Staff Writer and member of the Executive Board for the St. Mary’s Law Journal. Specifically, she served the Board as an Articles Editor for the St. Mary’s Law Journal on Legal Malpractice and Ethics—the first woman to hold that particular position. The St. Mary’s Law Journal on Legal Malpractice and Ethics published her Comment, Better Briefs in 2017, which Practical Lawyer law journal later featured in a published three-part series. Phi Delta Phi inducted Lydia into its International Legal Honors Society during her first semester, and she graduated St. Mary’s University School of Law cum laude.

Lydia made family law her focus within her first year of law practice, and her love for helping families achieve workable solutions to tough problems only continues to grow. In 2020, Austin Monthly Magazine named her one of Austin’s Top Attorneys in family law, and the San Marcos Record listed her as one of the Best Attorneys in Hays County, also in family law. Austin Monthly Magazine named her one of Austin’s Top Attorneys in family law again in 2021. Lydia believes good representation starts with written advocacy, but she’s always prepared to fervently litigate on her clients’ behalf. She listens to you before coming up with a plan, and strives to ensure you feel well-informed and knowledgeable throughout the legal process.
